Since 1976, Historic York, Inc. has encouraged the conservation of
York County's architectural history by preserving sites such as the
Cookes House, the Willis House (click for image),
the Kirk House, the Forry House, Cross Mill, the Codorus
Ironmaster's House and the one-of-a-kind Haines Shoe House, all
important buildings within York County’s built heritage. Most
recently, Historic York, Inc. assisted with the restoration of the
Hanover Junction Railroad Station and the Farquhar Park Bandstand (click
for image).

Historic York, Inc. continues to work for the
preservation of the Johannes and Christina Schultz House. We are
pleased to accept Mrs. Beatrice Rowe’s gift of the Johannes and
Christina Schultz House.
This summer from August 31st – September 24th
there will be an archaeological dig at the Schultz House, with artifact
processing in October. To learn more about how you can
become a volunteer for the dig please download the following
brochure.
The deadline for volunteer registrations is August 10th
2009, which will be taken on a first come, first served basis.
